Teaching parameters
Classroom management is to maintain discipline, order, and prevent misbehavior in class. Also, it describes the process of ensuring that all the classes run smoothly. It is consider as one of the most difficult part that a teacher could develop in class because a teacher has to maintain the control of the class and it is not impossible to do. With an extra effort, discipline and motivation, the teacher can achieve at the end a good classroom management.
“Momentum” is another classroom parameter. Momentum is described as the smooth flow of events which are not necessarily noticeable when everything is working well, but are highly visible when the flow or momentum is interrupted or not working.
Space is a good classroom management parameter as well as it is about maximizing the classroom’s physical space to facilitate easy teacher movement and proximity, as well as students movements and transitions.
Attention is when a teacher gets and keep students on task during classroom time. Also, skillful teachers make certain moves to engage students attention: desisting, alerting, enlisting, acknowledging, and winning.
Discipline seems to be what you use when student behavior is interfering with the operations in the classroom. Thus some teachers see classroom management as the positive framework, discipline could be laid down in the effort to pro-mote students behaviors that are conductive to the learning goals of the class.
time
Engaged time is the portion of instructional time that students spend directly involved in learning activities. Effective teachers understand the importance of the time-on-task variable and realize that the time the students spend engaged in meaningful activities must provide them with a high degree of success.
How do classroom management parameters help to make lessons more effective?
We think that classroom management is important because we can have more control in our classes. When we do an extra effort, we know how to face a problem, and how can we stop tasking off during classes. We will get control of our time and we will learn to be more responsible and ordered.
