We know that teaching English as second language involves many methods and that there is no unique method strongly recommended in teaching English since the level of the learners differ from one another. In this case, each member chose two of the different methods that can be applied at the moment of teaching and that were the best for us.

DIRECT METHOD
This is my favorite method to teach English because it has been found extremely effective when teaching and also learning English. In this method teachers have to use the target language (in this case English) not the learners’ native language. Teachers using this methodology would use real-life objects and visual materials in every lesson so that students understand the topics and instructions. Presenting well-structured sentences, teachers also teach grammar. Here are presented some principles in this method:

NATURAL APPROACH
The natural approach is a very interesting pattern to teach English. In this case, the language is taught naturally, how come? Well, the target language is used as if there is no other way to communicate with students. After a considerable amount of classes in which students have carried out many different activities such as games, problem-solving and role-plays, they are able to produce the language fluently. The students acquire knowledge subconsciously because the grammar is taught through context. So, as we can see, contextualizing the language is important in this methodology. Another important feature about this method is that it seeks to build in students the development of communicative skills; therefore, teachers do not have to force students to produce utterances immediately. Instead, teachers should let students produce the language step by step (first, yes-no response, then one word response; consequently, lists of words and short phrases, and finally, complete sentences). |

The Grammar-Translation Method
In the Grammar-Translation, method learners understand the grammar rules better. Classes are taught in the students' mother tongue, but with little active use of the target language. The teacher, in addition, provides vocabulary in the form of isolated word lists and elaborate explanations per each one. Also, words are introduced through bilingual word lists by using dictionary and applying memorization, and the exercises put the learner into an active problem-solving situation. Here are some steps involved in the Grammar-Translation Method:

Bilingual method In this method, the teacher uses both mother tongue (L1) and the target language (L2) in the classroom in order to give a clearer idea of what I being studied. Although this method is totally different from the other methods, some teachers may be considered it as a combination of the Direct Method and the Grammar Translation Method due to students use both L1 and L2 in every class. There are some principles that have to be followed in this method:
